Transition

Programme

Planning for life after rugby.

Stepping away from the game is one of the biggest changes a player and their whānau will ever face. It can be exciting, but also uncertain, as routines shift and new paths need to be explored. That’s why the Hurricanes Alumni Foundation Trust partners with Raise My Game — to ensure retiring or retired Hurricanes players have access to trusted, confidential support.

Raise My Game offers confidential one-on-one conversations (in person or online) to help players explore their next steps. These discussions can confirm what you’re already thinking or inspire new directions for you and your family.

Hurricanes Transition Programme

Raise My Game

Transitioning out of professional rugby can be daunting, but you don’t have to navigate the change alone. The Transition Programme is designed to give you space to pause, reflect, and plan, with expert guidance to help create a future that works for your career, your family, and your life beyond the game. Through Raise My Game, you’ll have access to confidential conversations and, if you choose, ongoing mentoring — all fully supported by the Hurricanes Alumni Foundation Trust.

How It Works:

- A confidential one-on-one conversation (face-to-face or online) with Raise My Game to help clarify your next steps

- The discussion may confirm what you’re already thinking, or spark new ideas and options

- Ongoing mentoring support is available if you decide it would be helpful for you and your family

- The cost of this support is met by the Hurricanes Alumni Foundation Trust
